On 18 November 2025, DEPLOYTOUR hosted its first High-Level Event at the European Committee of the Regions (CoR) in Brussels, under the title “Towards a European Data Space for Tourism: Governance, Interoperability and Institutional Cooperation”.

The European Union (EU) has recognized the economic and societal potential of data and has implemented an ambitious strategy to exploit it in an equitable and secure manner. The European Data Strategy, presented by the European Commission in 2020, aims to create a single data market that allows businesses, citizens, and administrations to fully benefit from the potential of the digital economy.
