Deployment of the European Tourism Data Space
DEPLOYTOUR is a project co-funded under the EU Digital Europe Programme, supported by DG GROW and DG CONNECT. It is a strategic initiative to boost the competitiveness, sustainability, and resilience of the tourism sector by deploying a trusted Common European Tourism Data Space (ETDS).

To develop a trusted and secure common European data space for tourism, to provide better access to information, enhancing productivity, sustainability, innovation, and upskilling across the sector.

To deploy a common infrastructure where data from various stakeholders can be shared and utilized effectively to address the long-standing challenge of fragmented and inaccessible tourism-related data.
Our goals
To strengthen EU digital sovereignty, build an operational federation of data spaces with a common governance, unlock data’s potential for innovation, support Tourism’s Transition Pathway (digital and environmental), empower SMEs and DMOs, create new business models supporting the EU data economy.
DEPLOYTOUR is a groundbreaking three-year project, co-funded by the European Union and coordinated by AnySolution, a leading expert in data collaboration and European tourism initiatives. Launched in October 2024, with an overall budget of a €15.3 million, it aims to develop a common, trusted, and secure European infrastructure for tourism data.
Building upon the groundwork laid by DATES and DSFT, DEPLOYTOUR focuses on developing data infrastructure, governance, and real-world use case pilots while ensuring synergies with other initiatives.
By enabling decentralized, secure, and trusted data sharing, DEPLOYTOUR will unlock new opportunities for collaboration, innovation, and growth in tourism. Five real-life pilots will bring this vision to life in diverse regions: the Alpine region (Austria-Slovenia), Balearic Islands-Andalusia-Canary Islands (Spain), Paris region (France), Syros Island (Greece), and Lapland (Finland).
DEPLOYTOUR is contributing to a smarter, more connected, competitive, and sustainable tourism ecosystem throughout Europe.
Our Objectives

Deploy the technical infrastructure of the Common Tourism European Dataspace (ETDS).

Define a governance framework by developing the rules and roles of the different stakeholders involved in governing the future ETDS.

Implement five use case pilots that will act as demonstration of the tangible advantages the ETDS can bring and its impact on the European tourism sector.

Ensure the interoperability, transversality, and synergies with other data and tourism initiatives.
