The European Commission has set a clear vision for the future: a Europe that is both green and digital. The Transition Pathway for Tourism outlines the roadmap to achieve this, identifying the digital transformation of the tourism ecosystem as a critical priority for competitiveness, sustainability and resilience by 2030.

In that context, the FACILITATE project was conceived as an umbrella initiative aimed at capitalising on existing resources and initiatives both within and beyond the consortium. It brings together a community that fosters, guides and supports the digital transition and capacity building of DMOs and tourism SMEs across the European Union, empowering them to strengthen their data management capabilities.
FACILITATE: A bridge to the data-driven ecosystem
Its approach is built on four interconnected pillars designed to provide comprehensive support to DMOs and SMEs throughout their digital transformation journey:
- A collaborative framework
- Practical and regularly updated guides
- Tailor-made training and capacity building
- Access to digital tools and resources
A coordinated approach: ensuring synergies with the European data ecosystem
FACILITATE does not reinvent the wheel. The project is backed by the participation of the coordinator and key partners from D3HUB and DEPLOYTOUR. Together, we have established a formal coordination mechanism to ensure a continuous flow of information and to provide DMOs and SMEs with first-hand guidance, support and access to the latest developments in the European tourism data ecosystem.

Under the coordination of AnySolution, the consortium brings together partners with extensive expertise in digitisation, sustainability and tourism innovation, ensuring that FACILITATE delivers real impact for destinations and businesses across Europe.
