"This webinar focused on the transformative impact of data sharing in the tourism sector and how the European Data Strategy is being implemented across the tourism value chain. As part of the T4T Tourism Transition Pathway, DEPLOYTOUR coordinator Dolores Ordoñez from AnySolution, co-lead of the T4T Digital Subgroup, moderated two insightful roundtables on the EU Tourism Data Space and best practices in data sharing. Dr. Misa Labarile shared the European Commission’s expectations for DEPLOYTOUR, emphasizing the creation of a data space to enable data flow, fostering synergies with other initiatives, demonstrating the potential of data, and moving towards a Data Union. Real-world examples from the Canary Islands, Dubrovnik, and the Netherlands highlighted how data can enhance destination management and drive innovation in tourism."
